Glass Puddles

Images occur naturally in the world, for example, on a sunny day a puddle becomes a perfect image of the world it encapsulates; but the image is ephemeral. This work explores holding onto those spaces by taking a cast of a negative space which is a potential puddle and replicating it as a glasswork. The original image is thereby transformed and transposed into a new context and into a new materiality. Thameside Studio 2018
